The Studio
Artists’ studios and workshops, known as ‘Ridware Arts’, were founded in 2002 by Deborah Walker RI, RSMA and Ian Hunter, bespoke picture framer of ‘Hunter Frames’. Deborah hosted watercolour classes, occasional one day and three day painting workshops in a variety of media. Deborah opened the ‘gallery @ Ridware Arts‘ in 2008. The gallery was repurposed in 2025 to become Deborah’s painting studio. She continues to teach an evening class and occasional workshops.

The Studio is open by appointment only through the Contacts page.
The Studio is situated in the heart of rural Staffordshire, surrounded by open farmland and bounded by the River Blyth. Built on the site of the original farmhouse.
The farm itself dates back to the nineteenth century and is still a working arable farm today, whilst also housing a busy community of diverse, individual businesses. Web: www.blythehousefarm.co.uk
The local area is renowned for walking and fishing and is only 9 miles north of the historic city of Lichfield. In a world of mass production ‘the gallery’ has a passion for the individual and unique, with a direct link to the artist or maker.
